The elongated oval bead creates a darker sound, while the short taper increases the tip weight for better response at lower dynamic levels. Made from Heartwood hickory, the IP-1 comes with an elongated oval bead, has a shorter taper, has a length of 16-9/16" and has a diameter of .650".
